This week has revolved around hedging or should i say Brambling.
We have finally got round to starting work on the hedge next to the pub. After many hot and prickly hours we have managed to cut back the brambles to the original stock fence for a distance of approx 50m. We still have a long way to go but hope with the help from some friends we will be able to make more progress this weekend. The aim is to get as much done in these last couple of weeks so we can then let the birds nest until September when hopefully we will be able to pick blackberries, trim the brambles and start to relay the hedge. Here’s to good weather at the weekend.
Just to let the neighbours know we plan on having a couple of bonfires to get rid of the hedge clippings etc over this weekend but we will try to keep it to a minimum.
On another note our onsite photographer has been playing with some images of the chickens Andy Warhol style. with some interesting results.
