I write this at probably the most troubling time for the country in living memory. We are facing an uncertain future, we are now experiencing an almost total lock down of the country.
It all seems a little surreal, some people are very poorly, the NHS is at breaking point, People panic buying everything from toilet rolls to fruit and veg.
But the sun is shining, the birds are singing and everything appears normal! Except for the quiet, no planes, very few cars, just the sounds of the birds singing and the animals going about their daily lives.
As I am now at home till further notice I have extra time on my hands to get some of those “I’ll do that in a minute” Jobs done. So far we have cleared lots of the bramble and I have managed to clear some of the nettles from around the grapes. Its amazing just how quickly life bounces back after its winter slumber. The blossom is starting to appear on the hawthorns and pears. The bees are buzzing and the ladybirds are looking for somewhere to lay their eggs.
We have also been doing a lot of cooking hence the addition of a recipe page. I will be adding some of my favourite recipes. Most of them are simple and pretty much fool proof.
Well until my next post. Stay Safe , Stay Home.
